ALBERT N. ''COOKIE'' COOK, 83, of Thornton died June 16. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday, June 20, at Highland Cemetery Chapel, with burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Mr. Cook was born in Peoria, Ill., on March 7, 1914. He married Maxine Knight, 1936. He began an Army career in 1942 and retired in 1971.
Before the military he was a stunt driver, motorcycle racer and bus and streetcar driver. He was a member of VFW Post 7945, American Legion and DAV.
Survivors include daughter Jacquelyn Ames, son Robert Knight, both of Denver; sisters Margaret Aldrich, Gwendolyn Allnutt and Lucille Hirner, all of Illinois; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great great-grandchild.
