Mr. Davies is survived by his wife, LaVeda (nee Finch); his children, Ketra (Bob) Pauley, Chris Kristy (Grant) McGrenera, Cathy Curtis and Tom (Alina); 12 grandchildren, Nathan, Nick and Matt Pauley, Casey Dikun, David, Jacy and Chandler Curtis, Kara (Elton) Silva, Kylie McGrenera and Dziugas, Liudas and Jurate Davies; his sisters, Sarah (Bill) Hogoboom and Jean (Farnsley) Peters; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Homer Davies and Ava Cecelia (nee McGlone) Davies; and his brother, John Alton Davies.
He retired as a senior educator from IBM in 1984. He owned and operated Davies Coins & Rocks in Lombard for many years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
