"DEL CITY - Erma Jean Neweman, 51, of 4824 Elmview Dr., Del City, died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital. Services will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday at Sunnylane Southern Baptist Church, 3900 S. Epperly, Del City, with burial at Sunny Lane Cemetery directed by Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home.
"Mrs. Newman, was born May 5, 1929, in Minco. She was a 1947 graduate of Minco High School. She received her bachelor's of science degree from Oklahoma State University in 1951 and her master's degree of public health in health administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1970.
"She was a registered dietitian. She was the administrative dietitian at Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center for 10 years before becoming the director of the Dietetic Technology Program at Oscar Rose Junior College in 1975. She was a member of the American Dietetic Association and past president of the Oklahoma Dietetic Association.
"She is survived by her husband, J. T. Newman, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Kim King, Moore, and Kathy, of the home; one son, Keith, of the home; five brothers, Harold Eisenhour, Blanchard, Charles and Howard Eisenhour, El Reno, and Lloyd and Bill Eisenhour, Del city; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Eisenhour, Del city.
"Memorial donations may be made to Oklahoma Dietetic Association in memory of Jean Newman in care of 5005 SE 29, Del City, Okla. 73115."
