Mrs. Cogan was born in Greensboro, N.C., and was the widow of Max Cogan. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk and Suburban Women's Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Korczowski Ashkenazi of Spring Valley, Nev.; two sisters, Lucille Vaughn of Greensboro and Rebecca Wells of Hampton.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, by the Rev. Richard E. Baker. The family will be at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, 4889 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the American Lung Association of Virginia or First Baptist Church of Norfolk.
