Belle married James Alfred "Alf" Prater, her cousin on 9 March 1890 in Calhoun, Gordon, GA. (Gordon County Marriage Book, 1881 - 1892, pg 462). They had eight children, only four which lived to adulthood after their birth.
After her husbands death, she took in boarders then worked for W O Johnson as a domestic after her house burned. The 1920c states they were married but that is incorrect.
She died of a cerebral apoplexy - arteriosclerosis - hypertension. I have copy of death certificate. Her son Robert Wiley Prater gave the information for her death certificate.
She is buried in Westview beside her daughter Irene Prater and her husband 'Alf' is buried in plot directly below her and to the rt. She has no headstone.
