FORMER LEMARS BOY DEAD
Charles Townsend Succumbs to Dropsy and Asthma
E. L. Townsend was at Kimball, S. D., on Saturday to attend the funeral of his nephew, Charles Townsend, who died following an illness from dropsy and asthma. The deceased is remembered by many of the residents of LeMars as he was born and reared in this city. He was a son of D. W. Townsend who conducted a lumber yard on Court street for many years.
Charles Townsend leaves a wife and, seven children to mourn his death and also two brothers and three sisters who are: Glen Townsend, of Dallas, S. D.; Ray Townsend, of Sioux Falls, S. D.; Mrs. Ray Adsit, of Cherokee; Mrs. Thos. Smith, living In Montana, and Miss Clara Townsend, living in Texas.
