Mrs. Esther Vitale, 65, of 10 Ferry St., West Nanticoke, died Wednesday on admission to Nanticoke State General Hospital.
Born in Wilkes-Barre Township, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Gronauer Wilde. She lived in West Nanticoke for the past 35 years.
Mrs. Vitale was a member of St. Francis Church, Nanticoke.
She and her husband Joseph celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary April 20, 1984.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Mrs. Carmela Michno and Mrs. Theresa Struble, both of Nanticoke; Mrs. Esther Donlon, Kingston; son, Joseph Jr., West Nanticoke; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack and Raymond Wilde, both of Wilkes-Barre; sisters, Mrs. Mary Piscorik, Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Anna Wielgosz, Plains.
Funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Stanley Stegura Funeral Home, 614 Hanover St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Church.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call today 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Christian Wake service will be held Friday at 2 p.m.
