Wanda E. Perkins Corn, 69, of Etowah, died early Wednesday morning, Aug. 15, 2007, at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late James Otis and Elza Armstrong Perkins. She was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church and was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa; and two brothers, J.R. and Floyd Perkins.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Corn of Etowah; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Frank Rymer of Etowah; two grandchildren, Dale Ray and Sarah Beth Rymer; two sisters, Carolyn Bagget of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Reba Perkins of Etowah; one brother, Donald Perkins of Etowah; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Lisa Harrison
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Hatcher and the Rev. Jeff Wright officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at Coghill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family recommends that memorial contributions be made to the Susan Komen Cancer Fund, 5005 LBJ Fwy., Suite. 250, Dallas, TX 75244, or the McMinn Area Cancer Relief Fund, P.O. Box 536, Athens, TN 37303.
