Anna, from a Jewish family in Brooklyn, NY, moved to WY. She visited a dude ranch in Wy in summer of 1909 near Chug, WY, and on 9-9-1909 (Sept 9th) married Fred Allen. Received college two year teaching certificate from Brooklyn College and was a school teacher in rural schools near Cheyenne, WY. She suffered from Rhumatoid Arthritis. Very well liked by all.

Fred jumped a westbound freight train from Iowa to Cheyenne, WY about 1906. Was a retired fireman having lived and worked around Cheyenne, WY.

After Dr. William Stone Allen, first husband, died Sarah Melissa Green Allen took her two living children and moved to live for many years with her parents, John Baxter Green's, at the family home, near Winfield, Iowa. Fred Allen, her son, got a job at a boarding house in downtown Des Moines, IA. The two children finished high school and Fred went to work as a Kaligrapher at the Iowa Sate legislature in Des Moines around the turn of the century. Fred was quite a restless sort, big, strong and very smart, and he jumped a westbound freight train to Cheyenne, WY about 1906.
