OLLIE MARIE BRANCH
Feb. 9, 1937-Aug. 30, 2004

Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the Cantlon Otterness Chapel with the Rev. Robert Long officiating.

Taped selections will be played. Burial is in Twin Churches Cemetery under the direction of the Cantlon Otterness Funeral Home of Buffalo.

Visitation is 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Escorts are Jamie Clemmons, Rod Casteel, Jesse Casteel, Don Casteel and Chris Casteel.

Ollie Marie Branch was born Feb. 9, 1937, in Dallas County, the daughter of the late Charley and Pearl (Haney) Junkins. She died Aug. 30, 2004, at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo, at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 21 days.

She was reared in the Junkins Hill area. After her schooling she was united in marriage with Jess Jasper, and to this union two children were born. She made her home east of Buffalo for several years.

She was united in marriage with Melvin Branch and resided southeast of Buffalo before moving into Buffalo in the early 1990s.

After her husband's death in 1993, she maintained her home in Buffalo until failing health caused her move to the care facility. She was noted for her cooking, especially chicken and noodles. She enjoyed doing embroidery work. Her main love in life was her family. She was of the Baptist faith.

She worked at Chastains Nursing Home for several years. She also worked as a cook at the Bison Inn, the L&F Truck Stop and the Bus Stop Cafe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; three brothers: Arnold, Sam and Roy; and two sisters: Dollie and Chloe. Survivors include her son, Roger and wife, Rosemary Jasper, Buffalo; her daughter, Sue and husband, Bob Lawson, Buffalo; one brother, Everett Junkins; one sister, Dottie Bailey; seven grandchildren; Rod Casteel, Jessie Casteel, Don Casteel, Chris Casteel, Paula Casteel-Clemons, Jennifer Jasper, Amy Jasper McNatt and other family and friends who will all sadly miss her.
