Velma L. Cessna Claypool, 81, of 162 Jefferson Ave, Vandergrift, died Tuesday (July 2, 1991) in Citizens General Hospital, New Kensington.

Born April 14, 1910, in Burrell Township, she was a lifelong Valley resident.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Burton Wayne (Vera) McCullough of Washington Township; a grandson; six brothers, Virge Cessna of Elderton, Clyde Cessna of
Avonmore, Charles Cessna of Shelocta, Keith Cessna of Weirton, W VA; Ward Cessna of Elyria, Ohio; Merle of Warren, Ohio; and five sisters, Rosie Elgin of Indiana, Pa; Clarissa Meyers of Shelocta, Mrs Arvel (Mary) Rose of Maryland and Laura Carr and Mrs. Frank (Mildred) Albanese, both of Maryland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Edna Kough Cessna and a brother, Kenneth Cessna.

Friends will be received today from 7-9 p.m. in the Dunmire-Kerr Funeral home, 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Katherine Fisk will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Union Cemetery, Elderton.
