CLARENCE A. BERNSTEIN ~ CANAJOHARIE - Clarence A. Bernstein, 59, 24 Shaper Avenue, a 28 year employe of Beech-Nut Inc., died Wednesday while at work. Dr. Naim Bakash, Montgomery County coroner, said death was due to natural causes. He was born in Richmondville, the only child of Allen Bernstein and the late Nellie Dibble Bernstein, and attended schools there. He married Madelyn Herron there in 1931. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Barbara (Howard) Fassett, Cherry Valley; and two sons, Bruce Bernstein, of Brandywine, Md., and Robert (Evelyn) Bernstein, Nelliston, his father, Allen Bernstein, Richmondville, and 16 grandchildren, Robert, Linda, Norma, Sharron, Bruce Jr, Kevin, Richard & Kathy (Bernstein), Mark, Gary, Dale, Greg & Vicki (Fassett) and Nona, Michael & Terre (Bernstein). The funeral will be at 2 Saturday from the Houghtaling Funeral Home, Burial will be in Fort Plain Cemetery.

Bernstein, 61, Dies at Work - CANAJOHARIE - Clarence Bernstein, 61, s truck driver at Beech-Nut Inc., was pronounced dead after being stricken at work yesterday. He resided on Shaper Avenue. Born in Richmondville, Mr. Bernstein had been employed at Beech-Nut 28 years. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 182. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Madelyn Herron Bernstein; two sons, Bruce Bernstein of Maryland and Robert Bernstein of Nelliston and a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Fassett of Cherry Valley.
