Don was born on February 4, 1928 and passed away on February 14, 2007.

His parents George Richard and Ella Mae Mace were blessed with a fine son who they raised in Taft, California. Don attended Taft City Schools and graduated from Taft High School.

He worked for Belridge Oil Company 30 plus years, with the exception of his service in the United States Air Force.

He married Bobbie Jean Fuller in 1948 and lived in Taft where they raised their son Rick, until they moved to Bakersfield four years ago.

Don retired in 1985, which gave him lots of time to spend with his family especially his grandson, Cody. He loved to camp at Sand N Surf in Pismo, go to Bass Lake with his family, work in his garage and yard and visit with friends. Don loved life and was a calming influence to those who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife Bobbie, his son, his grandson, his brothers and sisters-in-law, and dozens of nieces and nephews who will miss their uncle Don.

Services for Don will be held on Tuesday February 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home with internment to follow immediately following at the Taft West Side District Cemetery.

The Maces would like to thank family and friends for all your love and support over the years.
