Franklin Kidwell, mayor of Enterprise, died at Asbury Hospital, Salina.
The Kidwells moved to Enterprise from Hiawatha in 1947 and operated a hatchery on the east side of town. Mr. Kidwell took office as mayor in 1953 and was re-elected to his second term two years later.
Survivors included the widow; two sons, Arthur and Gene; two daughters, Mrs; Lois Oaks and Mrs. Frances Brown; two brothers, Guy and Paul; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Kanel and Mrs. Effie Brown.
