Paul R.Megathlin, 93 of East Providence passed away Monday at Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket. Born in Riverside he was the son of the late John, and Emma (Haid) Megathlin. Paul was the husband of the late Ruth E Megathlin. He was a concrete distributor, a member of St. Andrew's Lodge of Riverside, an avid golfer and bowler, and a longtime member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church.. Paul also received a purple heart during WWII. He is survived by two daughters Donna Francis of Riverside, Eleanor Aguiar of FL, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. A funeral service was held Thursday in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home Riverside, East Providence. Burial followed in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to St. Mark's Episcopal Church 10 Turner Avenue, East Providence, RI 02915.
