SANFORD - Renee Bodenhamer Hammonds, 42, of Sanford, died May 14, 2009, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17 at the Holly Springs Baptist Church in Broadway with the Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where she served as the GA Leader for many years.
Survivors include her father, Charles "Bud" Bodenhamer and stepmother, Janice of Swansboro; husband, Johnny Hammonds of the home; daughters, Paige Hammonds and Dawn Hammonds of the home; and sisters, Ashley Bodenhamer and Casey Bodenhamer of Swansboro.
The family will receive friends at 7 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway and other times at the family home, 347 Longstreet Road in Sanford.
