Izora was the daughter of Peter Wessel Tordenskjold Hansen & Minnie Hornstein. She married Robert in 1939. She and Robert lived their entire life in Cedar Rapids where they raised their only child, Douglas Cyril Lane. She was a fantastic artist and had won several awards for her painted eggs, depicting scenery and flowers.
