MO death cert. #24239

Robert Wright Wall, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Wall, both deceased, and half-brother of Roscoe C. Wall, of this city, died quite suddenly at the family home 5 1/2 miles southwest of Houston, near noon last Saturday, June 23. Mr. Wall had been afflicted with heart trouble for some years past and was recently taken to a Springfield hospital for an operation, but the operation was not performed on account of the condition of his heart.

Last Saturday he seemed to be feeling unusually well and while waiting for the noon meal was looking after some chores about the place. Failing to respond when called to dinner, a search revealed his lifeless body near the house where he had fallen. Mr. Wall was born in Texas County July 18, 1863, making his age 53 years, 11 months and 5 days. He was married to Sarah Jane Douglas, 12 children resulting from this union. Of these 9 are living, 3 boys and 6 girls. Deceased was a member of the Christian church, and was generally recognized as an honest, honorable, highly esteemed citizen.

Funeral services were held at the family home Monday, conducted by Elder J. W. Dickenson, and the remains were buried at Wolford graveyard near Clara.
