Logan's mother wrote letters to the state while she was trying to get approved to receive her late husband Mathias's pension that Logan's father was one Logan Pointer. She was living in Belle, Missouri, at the time. I think there is a strong chance Logan's father is James Logan Pointer, at memorial 20677044. He lived around Belle most of his life and was close in age to Annie Gargus, Logan's mother. Belle is still a very small town, and at the 1910 census its population was less than 400. I haven't found other Logan Pointers in the area in that time period, so it seems highly likely this is the one. I haven't linked his memorial to this one since this is something of an educated guess, but I wanted to add it here for historical note.
