Mrs. Louvenia Logan Phillips, age 89 of Lyons, died Monday, May 3, 2010 in the Bethany Nursing Center of Vidalia after a brief illness. She was a native of Oak Park, living in Mt. Vernon for ten years, and in Toombs County most of her life. She was a homemaker, and was employed at Lyons Manufacturing for several years. She was a member of Lotts Creek Church of God near Mt. Vernon, and was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Phillips, one son, Roy Phillips, two daughters, Dealva Hamilton and Loretta Hardin, and eleven siblings.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by one daughter, Aldene Phillips Colson of Lyons, a daughter-in-law, Judy Phillips of Lyons, a son-in-law, Mac Hamilton of Mt. Vernon, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
