Mrs. Minerva Salyer died Friday, November 29, in a local hospital following an illness of several months.
A resident of Fuget, Mrs. Salyer was born May 31, 1899, the daughter of the late Flem and Sarah McKenzie Dixon.
Surviving are her husband, Jay Salyer; two daughters,Mrs.Cyntha Franklin and Mrs.Dora Cottle, both of Meally;
8 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren;
two brothers,John Dixon of Wayland and Kenneth Dixon of Fairborn,OH and five sisters,Mrs.Cora Mahan of Louisville and Mrs.Hazel Preston, Mrs.Rosa Salyer, Mrs.Bessie Parker and Mrs.Stella Dyer all of Fairborn.
Funeral services held Sunday, December 1, in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Daniel officiating with burial in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
