Was Electrocuted
Death Came Very Suddenly to Albert Abbott of Fort Wayne Friday When He Turned on a Light

Albert Abbott, son of Frank Abbott of North Manchester and a former sheriff of Allen County, was electrocuted on last Thursday evening when he turned an electric switch in the garage of his home in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Abbott was found a short time later by his wife and a neighbor boy and he had fallen face downward on the ground just outside the garage and at first it was thought that he had been murdered but later it was learned that one of the electric wires leading the home had fallen on a high tension wire which carried 4400 volts and just as soon as Mr. Abbott touched the metal part of the switch he was killed instantly.
Mr. Abbott was about 45 years of age.
He is survived by the widow, one daughter, father, Dayton Abbott of North Manchester; a half-brother and a half-sister besides other relatives.
