She was born July 5, 1923, in Dayton, the daughter of Lowell and Anna (Lyons) Hoff.
She worked at Neff Lettering for 11 years; at Meijers in Troy for seven years; and also had been a cook and waitress for about 20 years. She was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church and attended Verona High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Dale Locke; first husband, Charles Harris; second husband, Darrell Howard; infant daughter, Doris Ann Harris; daughter, Betty Sparks; grandson, Steven Harris; and sister, Ruth Allen.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Charles E. and Reva Harris of Lexington, Ky.; daughter, Anita Harris of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sisters, Glenna Creech of Eaton, Ohio, and Nancy Hofacker of Greenville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday May 5, at Zechar-Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Don Avore officiating. Burial will follow in Verona Cemetery, Verona, Ohio. The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, at the funeral home.
