Anna Elizabeth Snyder was born to Isaac and Letitia McFarland Snyder on January 3, 1887, at West Monterey, PA. She was educated at Black Fox School and then at Clarion Normal School, after which she taught school until she married Fred Fowler at a lovely home wedding June 22, 1910. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church at Dutch Hill until her marriage and moved to Rimersburg when she joined Jerusalem Reformed Church (now United Church of Christ). She was active in the Women`s Guild and Kings Daughters` Class at the church and was a long-time member of Cross Roads Grange. Anna bore ten children, nine of whom lived to adulthood. After a full life, she retired to an apartment in Rimersburg and after several years died there on February 25, 1961. She was buried in the family plot in Rimersburg.
