Ole Christianson was baptized with that name in Ringsaker, Norway. He came to the United States about 1865 and according to the family stories, he purchased land in Fillmore County, Minnesota. He and Berte (Betsey) Haagenson were married in May of 1870, recorded in the Union Prairie Church book, Fillmore County. They then traveled to the area west of what is now Pelican Rapids in Otter Tail County. He is mentioned in the petition to give the township the name of Pelican in July of 1870.

Ole had two sisters that were not brought to America, Christine and Agnethe.
Christine Christiansdatter (1847-1900) - Husband Otto Simonsen Bergsenstuen
Agnethe Christiansdatter (1849-1934) - Husband Knud Johannesson Asla

Ole's obituary states that he was survived by a sister in Norway. In 2018, a descendant of Agnethe's contacted me with further information.
