Lynn Eugene Carson Sr., 81, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 26, 2002. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 27 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bro. John Hollingsworth officiated.
Mr. Carson was born March 11, 1921 in Sevierville, TN, the son of James and Margaret Jane Creswell Carson.
He was a school teacher and a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include his son, Gene Carson Jr. of Crossville; daughters, Lynda Monday and Annie Brooks, both of Crossville; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and brothers, John Carson of Crossville and Doyle Carson of Alabama.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Wells Carson; sister, Lou Wilson; and brother, Jim Carson.
Pallbearers were J. Paul Smith, John D. Hall, Neal Carson, Doyle Carson, Thomas Brady and Frank Sevier.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
