Funeral services for Tech Sgt. Bill J. Noland, 38, formerly of Coffeyville, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Skinner-Hamlin-Murdock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery.
Sgt. Noland died July 13 after a five-month illness in the Bethesda (Md.) Naval Hospital. At the time of his death he was stationed in Washington, D.C. at the Pentagon where he was a computer maintenance specialist. He served 20 years in the Air Force as of July 1, 1974.
He married [living] of Prinston [sic-Princeton], N.C., on May 29, 1961, in Dillion [sic-Dillon], S. C. The couple had one son, [living] of the home.
Sgt. Noland was the son of George "Jop" and Lottie (McIntosh) Noland of Coffeyville.
