John J Freeman, 71, a resident of Rt 1, Rockwood, died January 17, 1978 at Cumberland Medical Center. He was born December 22, 1906 in Rome, Georgia, the son of Charles Wesley and Elizabeth Baldwin Freeman.
Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Bilbrey Funeral Home with burial at Green Acres Memory Gardens; Rev Bill Stockton will officiate.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Edwards Freeman; 1 daughter, Mrs Hellon Potts, Crossville; 1 brother, Charles E Freeman, Rome, Ga; 6 sisters, Mrs Roy Gardner, Mrs Mary Munton, Mrs Horace Clary, Mrs Lee Looney, all of Rome, Ga; Mrs Herschel Peters, Ringgold, Ga; Mrs Harold Ganseline, Springfield, Ohio.
