Spanish-American War veteran dies at 96
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (AP) — An elderly Minnesotan who was one of the oldest living veterans of the Spanish-American War died Tuesday at the Minnesota Veterans Home.

Funeral services will be held Friday at the Veterans Home chapel for Harry L. Cooper, 96, who was a calvary trooper in the Spanish American War from 1898 through 1901.

Cooper also was a former justice of the peace at Sandstone.
