“William Bowman, 84, died at 7:05 p.m. Friday at his residence, 1070 Highland Avenue. He retired 10 years ago from the City works department. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, John E. and William F. Bowman; two daughters, Mrs. Howard Litton and Mrs. William Morton; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Yola May Lenhart, Mrs. Ruth Schmitt, and Mrs. Anna Lee Fink; a brother, John Bowman; two sisters, Mrs. Mary B. Goldberg, Hannibal, Mo., and Mrs. Rose Brudy; 16 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The body is at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak St.”
