Alice Witt was born to John William Witt and Ida Belle Phillips in 1896 in Oklahoma Territory. She married William Edgar Mcilroy b. 13 JUN 1884 in Arkansas d. 17 NOV 1950 in Houston, TX. She had 3 sons. Wilburn Earl Mcilroy b. 1917 in Oklahoma, d. 1975 in Texas, Calvin Bruce Mcilroy Porter b. 1921 in Texas d. 1970 in Korea, Ray Lloyd Mcilroy Porter b. 1924 in Oklahoma d. 2008 in Oklahoma. After she died, the two youngest boys were placed for adoption. Wilburn Earl was sent to live with Alice Witt's brother Henry Witt and his wife Naomi. Calvin Bruce and Ray Lloyd were adopted together by the Porter family. The boys tried until their deaths to find their older brother. Wilburn spent his life trying to find his younger brothers. But it never happened. Their children carried on the search until they finally were reunited in 2010. Part of that search included the discovery of their mother and our grandmother Alice Witt Mcilroy's grave. Lost since the 1920's. She also has been reunited with her family.
