David Andrew “Andy” Adam, 53, was a veteran of Texas Agricultural Extension Service. He began his career in 1928 at Lamb County Agricultural Agent. In 1935, he took the same position in Young County and in 1944 became farm labor assistant under the emergency federal program. Since 1950, his major responsibility has been the handling of foreign students who came to Texas A&M to study methods and the A&M organization system. Upon request of the Turkish Government, Mr. Adam went to that country in 1957 for a time as extension advisor to the minister of agriculture.

Survived by his wife; three brothers; one sister.
