GORDON A. STUBBS
"Gordon Andrew Stubbs of Chipley died at the age of 60 in the Washington County Hospital on January 1. Mr. Stubbs was born in Texas on September 23, 1910. He was a member of Holmes Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife Mrs. Delana A. Stubbs, two daughters, Miss Patsy Gail Stubbs, Mrs. Carolyn Sue Taylor, three sons John James Stubbs, Gordon Stubbs, Jr., and Charle d. Stubbs, all of Chipley; his mother, Mrs. Maggie Broomfield of Tyler, Tex.; two half sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Pitts and Mrs. Bertha Gibson of Lukin, Tex., and two half brothers, James and John Broomfield of Tyler and Lukfin; and two grandchildren.
The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Dewitt T. Mathews, Jr., at the Holmes Creek Baptist Church Monday at 2 o'clock. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley. Pall bearers were Pual Camp, Billy Moles, Addison Prescott, Harold Stickland, and Pracher Tremble. Blackburn Funeral Home was the funeral director."
