Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. for Taft resident, Elda Louise Abney, 72. The pastor of the Cuyama Assembly of God will officiate.

Mrs. Abney was born in Los Angeles on May 24, 1930 and passed away in a Bakersfield hospital on December 8, 2002.

Mrs. Abney moved to Taft around 1945. She was an avid pool player and she enjoyed fishing.

Her husband, Daniel "Leo" Abney in 1991 and her son Melvin, preceded her in death. She survivors include her children,numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to pay their respect.
