COLORADO CITY ~~ Mr. Murray Charles Leach, age 77, of Colorado City, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Services were held Monday in the Colorado City Cemetery, under the direction of the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Leach was born March 28, 1930, in Westbrook to Gilbert and Vada Morris Leach. He had been a lifelong resident of Mitchell County. He married Juanita Marie Thomas on March 16, 1956, in Colorado City. He was a retired cabinet maker, veteran of the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, serving on the aircraft carrier USS Philippine Sea and a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Leach of Colorado City; four children, Rhonda and husband, David Pyle of Hawkins, Michael Charles Leach and Debra Kay Leach, both of Colorado City and James Wendall Leach of Dallas; an adoptive son, John LaVoie of Dallas; four grandchildren, Tammy Pyle of Hawkins, Samantha Pyle of Atlanta, Georgia, Brian Leach of Colorado City and Stephanie Kennedy of Prosper, Texas; three brothers, Floyd leach of Odessa, Kenneth Leach of Fort Worth and Wendall Leach of Kentucky; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Woodrow and Dennis; and a sister, Melba.
