Zeida was born June 16, 1920 in Wilmington, Delaware, to Perla and James Halter. Zeida had made her home in Arizona for the last 56 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Zeida is survived by her devoted children, Barbara (Jerry) Orcutt, Terrance J. Carter and Betty Ann Carter; her 9 treasured grandchildren; and 16 precious great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her adored husband of 50 years, Harley Winslow Carter, and their much loved son, Harley R. Carter.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 1:00pm at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ, with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Phoenix Memorial Park.
