David Kramer was from an old and highly respected Dutch family, settled in early manhood upon a farm in Franklin County, Ohio. He was married there to Miss Elizabeth Moore, who was born to New England parents in 1809. They were consistent members of the U. B. Church in Canal Winchester, Ohio, for many years. Of their twelve children, seven lived to maturity.
