Death of Two Aged Citizens
On Friday last Mr. Jacob Bricker, a respected citizen of this place, died at his residence, aged eighty six years. He was doubtless one of the oldest residents of this section of country. About sixty years ago Mr. B moved from the vicinity of Newville to the mill which still bears his name, on the turnpike, about two miles north of this place. The mill was run by him (though during his later proprietorship of it he did not attend to it personally) from the time until a few years ago since, when he disposed of it and moved to this place. It is a somewhat remarkable coincidence, that on the day of his death the work of demolishing the old mill has commenced, preparatory to remodeling it.
