Bobby M. Holmes, 60, a lifelong resident of Rushville, passed away at 11 PM Sunday, May 9, 2010 at his home.

Bobby was born November 7, 1949 in Campbellsville, KY to Ranvil and Lorene (Shivley) Holmes, both deceased. He married Joanne Workman on March 29, 1969 and she survives.

Bobby was a US Army veteran, a life member of the Rushville VFW and the Rushville American Legion. He was also a member of the Rushville Eagles Lodge and the Eagles Riders. Bobby worked in construction at Greensburg for (Charles Lee) C + R Supplies for many years.

In addition to his wife, Bobby leaves behind a daughter, Mrs. Matt (Mindy) Scott of Shelbyville, IN, a brother, Tim Holmes of Falmouth, IN, two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Imogene) Taylor of Florida and Joy Dean of Rushville, IN. He is also survived by 2 grandsons, Justin Wetter and Michael S. Sherwood and one great grandson, Michael D. Sherwood.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by one sister (Jewel).

Pastor Ray Sweet III will preside.
