Son of Charles Hickey and Josephine Hoffman Hickey. Married to Rosa Marie Weber on June 29, 1907 at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in Baltimore, MD. They had six children, Charles E., Ann(a) K., Theresa M., Julia, Joseph A., and Dorothy. Rose died at the young age of 42, leaving Leo to raise their six children alone. At his death at the age of 71, he was the much loved "Pop Pop" of 12 grandchildren.
