Mike Paglia was born on Thursday; April 3, 1919, at home in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa. He was the son of: Armando and Rose (Chidicomo) Paglia. He was united in marriage to Hazel Idella Ramsey on July 2, 1938. Mike was the foreman at M. Gervich and Sons for 35 years, retiring from there in 1985. Mike will be fondly remembered for his love of family, fishing at Circle Lake in Minnesota, winters in Arizona, Western TV shows, his love of tools and metal (he could make anything), having visitors, quails, growing vegetables in his garden and making Italian meals. Mike Paglia, age 90, passed away on Saturday; March 27, 2010 at the Iowa River Hospice House in Marshalltown, Iowa under their care. His passing came peacefully with his loving family at his side. Those left to mourn his passing are: His loving daughter, Rose Mulstay, his dear grandchildren: Mike (Laurie) Weatherly of Albion, Penny (Doug) Duer, Pam (Jim) Klinefelter all of Marshalltown, Kip (Tara) Weatherly of Albion and Amy Mulstay of Cedar Rapids, his precious great0grandchildren: Josh (Megan) Vranish of Cedar Rapids, Jil Weatherly of Marshalltown, Nick Weatherly of Hooper, Utah, Cole and Tony Weatherly of Albion, and great-great-grandchildren Angela and Amiaha Weatherly of Marshalltown and Cambri Weatherly of Hooper, Utah, the Paglia family and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. To meet him in Heaven were his wife, Hazel, daughter Charleene, grandson Kent Allen Woods, his parents and grandparents, brother Gregory, sister and brother-in-law Mary and W.T. Hambrick, sisters Catherine Nelson and Margaret Bachel, sister-in-law Darlene Paglia, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Helen and Johnny Johnson and James and Lorraine Ramsey, nephews Alan Ramsey and Arland Hambrick. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be from: 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday; March 30, 2010 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at: 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday; March 31, 2010 at the E-Free Church in Marshalltown, Iowa with Pastor Bob Kosbau officiating. Interment will be at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
