OREGON CITY: Funeral services for Thomas Stephens were held this afternoon at the Edward Brady chapel. Rev. C. M. Sturdivant, pastor of the Mountain View Community Church, officiated. Interment was in the Multnomah Cemetery, Portland.
Mr. Stephens was a native of Portland. His grandfather, Emmor Stepens, was the first person buried in Lone Fir Cemetery in Portland in 1846. For many years Thomas engaged in railroad work in the early days of Portland, later coming to Clackamas County. Mr. Stephens is survived by his widow.
