Erastus, [called E by many], was the son of James Willis and Martha Jane [Griffith] Champion. He married Lucy Mae Carter 01 Nov 1914. He bought quite a bit of land from Lucy's father on what is now Hwy. 60 in Crittenden Co. He farmed the land and raised some cattle. The house he built still stands today and has been well cared for.
