Died Friday, Jan. 27, 1978, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. He was 90, a native of Winnfield and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Exxon employee. Body at Rabenhorst Funeral Home with visitation from 1 to 10 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday. Religious services in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Charles Lamb. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wendell (Marie) Phillips, Baton Rouge; two sons, Carl E. Long and Morley Long, both of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. L.F. (Nancy) Morrison, Winnfield; one brother, J. Weaver Long, El Paso, Texas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Katherine Long.

Pallbearers will be Fred Long Jr., Joel Branch, Richard H. Tannehill, M.D., Bob Doucet, John Morgan, and Eldon Sheppard. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
