She was a native of Rockview, WV, and a daughter to the late Jay Cook and Nilah Walker Cook ;
also preceded in death by her husband Michael S. Kilgore.
and a former resident of Port Orange, FL and Logan, OH. She had made her home in Ware County for the past five years. She was a member of Brunel Street Church of God. She was a very loving, family-oriented person who always put her children first. While residing in Logan, OH she loved working in her garden where she grew many different varieties of vegetables.
Survivors include two daughters,
Diana St. Clair (husband Dean) of Waycross and
Jacqueline Gatton of Port Orange, FL;
two sons,
Mitchell Newsom of Waycross and
Bobby G. Newsom of Port Orange, FL;
five grandchildren,
Georgena Ansell of Riedsville, Anthony Gatton of Port Orange, FL, Elizabeth St. Clair, and Joseph St. Clair both of Orlando, FL, and Amber Newsom of Columbus, OH;
five great grandchildren,
Isaiah Little, Jordan Little, Tansley Bruns, Wyatt Kincaid, and Dillon Kincaid;
three sisters,
Gladys Wiley and Roberta Harless both of Columbus, OH, and Raoma Smith of Baltimore, MD;
two brothers,
Wiliam Cook of Pineville, WV and Norvel Cook of Columbus, OH,
and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday (May 13, 2010) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Thursday at Music Funeral Home.
