Reese Service Set At Sophia
Former Mining Official Succumbs To Stroke Of Paralysis
Albert B. Reese, 68 years old, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. W. Persinger, in Sophia, Saturday night at 10:10 o'clock from the effects of a paralytic stroke, with which he was stricken five days before.
Born at Scranton, Pa., on November 1, 1869, he was a member of the Presbyterian church. For 25 years he worked as a mine forman and superintendent. He had not been actively engaged in work for the past few years.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Mae Reese, and a son, Walter R. Reese of Retreat, Pa., daughters, Mrs. J.W. Persinger, Sopia; Mrs. Edward Price, Reading, Pa.; Mrs. Mrs. Harry Gordon, Reading, Pa.; Mrs. Daniel Zieber, Reading, Pa.; Mrs. Paul Huber, Nanticoke, Pa.; Mrs. Anthony Vital, Lancaster, Pa.; and Mrs. C.E. Walker, Lanark; three sisters, Mrs. Alfred Keifer, Berwick, Pa.; Mrs. D.K. Larsen, Chicago; and Mrs. W.M. Darley, Denver, Colorado; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. W.F. Overstreet at the home of Mrs. Persinger in Sophia this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Wildwood cemetery.
