The family of Waymuth Webb is saddened by her passing. Wayme was born January 31, 1933, to Ralph C. and Ruth L. Weeks. She married Paul E. Webb on March 31, 1951. She passed away on May 8, 2010, in her sleep next to her husband of 59 years. To this union was born 3 children: Edward L. Webb (Kerry) Richard A. Webb (Julie), and Roxanna McClure (Michael). She was graced by 3 grandchildren: Lee E. Webb, Brandi J. Webb and Emily A. McClure; and one great grandson: Austin R. Webb.
She worked at the Armour Drive-In, where she met the man who would become her husband. She also worked at SS Kresges as a window trimmer; NKC School District as a cook; Lil Guys foods; KC Industrial Glove; and the Avondale Post Office. She served her Avondale community as Police Matron; City Councilwoman; fire dispatcher; den mother for cub pack 304; little league baseball scorekeeper; during the 1950's she served in the Civil Defense; and she participated in many other community activities.
Wayme is survived by her husband, Paul, of the home; her sons and daughter; her grandchildren; and her great grandson. She is also survived by three sisters: Norma Senter, Erma Rowley, and Lois Rajpal; and one brother, Marvin "Mickey" Weeks. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Elvira Dobbins; and four brothers: Lee Weeks, Ralph Weeks, David "Bucky" Weeks, and Gene Weeks. She was a loving wife, dedicated mother, and friend to all. She will be greatly missed.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, between 6 and 8 p.m., at White Chapel Funeral home, 6600 N. Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 2 p.m., also at White Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Avondale Memorial Fund in her name.
