Daniel M. Buhler
Daniel Martin Buhler, 76, formerly of 715 W. Oak St., died at 6 a.m. today in the Farris-Lombardy Nursing Home after a several years' illness. Mr. Buhler was a tool and diemaker at the Bendix Corp., having retired in 1963. Born June 10, 1898, in South Bend, he had lived here all his life. In 1919 in Fort Wayne, he married Clara Siatkowski, who died in 1958. Surviving are two sons, William J. of Long Beach, Calif., and George V. of Fountain Valley, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Sandy Levy and Mrs. Robert Sherk, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Jeri Dawson of Anaheim, Calif., and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Welsheimer Funeral Home, where services will be at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Ronald Harshman, pastor of the East United Methodist Church, Mishawaka, will officiate. Burial will be in the City Cemetery. Mr. Buhler was a 50-year member of the Robert Blum Lodge, Independant Order of Odd Fellows and the South Bend Maennerchor Club. Memorial contributions may be made to the Odd Fellows Home, Greensburg, Ind.
