MYRON IRWIN FATALLY STABBED ROBERT CEARNS

Butte, Nebr March 31- special to the News: M Irwin stabbed and killed Robert Cearns on his farm near Dustin, Nebr, yesterday afternoon. Irwin started immediately for Dustin while Sheriff Hall from O’Neill was telephoned for and started shortly in pursuit. Dr Beatty of Butte was summoned and left for Badger, where the Cearns farm is located.
IRWIN CAPTURED
Irwin had been captured near Dustin. The Motive has not yet been learned. Reports reached Butte by way of the farmers’ telephone line.
Butte, Nebr March 31- A quarrel begun at Butte between Myron Irwin and “Bob” Ramsey on one side and Robert Cearns and his father on the other had its sequel across the Niobrara River in Holt County when Robert Cearns was stabbed to death. It is charged that Irwin killed him, while Ramsey assisted. The two escaped in a buggy. A posse of Cearns’ friends are in pursuit and threaten vengeance. A telephone message says Irwin and Ramsey have asked the sheriff to meet them at Stuart and they will surrender.
