He was employed by Clyde Cutlery for 41 years, retiring in 1969.
He was a member of Clyde Eagles and Bellevue Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, the former Estella Snavely; three daughters, Dolly Absher, Green Bay, Wis.; Mrs James(Marcene) Broz, Washington, and Mrs George(Gladys) Bookmyer, Clyde; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs James(Bertha) Orwig, Bellevue.
He was preceded in death by his parents John A and Nettie(Robinson) Davis; a grandchild; a sister and three brothers.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, where the funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Phillip Stillings, First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens., Clyde.
